Speaking to Khaleej Times, Mohammed Ahmed Al Wadi, Director of Road Infrastructure Project Department, said the municipality is making all efforts to end flooding of roads, roundabouts and parking lots. On October 19, the municipality completed maintenance works of the drainages and installed 16 pumping units in various parts of the emirate to drain water from the roads in case of flooding. Besides, it has dug 16 wells, set up 300 temporary pools to collect water from surrounding areas and readied 60 mobile tankers. Maintenance works of drain networks is now being carried out in Al Sawan, Shaikh Zayed Road-University Street intersection, Ajman City Center area and Omar Ibn Al Khatab which had witnessed heavy water-logging.
