A Hazy Respite from Sweltering SunPublish Date: 2009-07-04 10:00:05 Story Code: 17376 ABU DHABI - Temperature dipped marginally on Friday in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah while it went up in Fujairah on Friday. Humidity was also high in most of the emirates.
There were reports of fog in some parts of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and in some northern areas of the UAE, and the visibility was reduced to 800 meters. Dust winds in most of the emirates created hazy conditions. According to the officials of National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology here, the respite from heat is only temporary and the temperature will go up by day after. According to officials, Abu Dhabi temperature dropped from 47 degrees Celsius on Thursday to 41.2 degree Celsius on Friday, that in Dubai dropped from 46.5 degree Celsius to 39.7 degree Celsius, in Sharjah from 47.9 degree Celsius to 41.6 degree Celsius, in Al Ain from 48.6 degree Celsius to 45.4 degree Celsius. However, in Fujairah, temperature went up from 39.7 degree Celsius on Thursday to 41.8 degree Celsius degree Celsius on Friday. Humidity was high late night and in early morning hours in the Emirates. Abu Dhabi recorded a maximum humidity of 91 per cent while the minimum was 14 per cent. Sharjah had maximum 89 per cent and minimum 19 per cent, Dubai had maximum 87 per cent and minimum 23 per cent.
